A monster post

Ok, so we've been very naughty regarding the updates of our blog this last month. So today I have a monster of a post with various ceremonies and receptions for you to have a look at.

Our first off the roll is a reception held at Acqua Vita on the Swan. A modern reception, with clean lines and crisp white.

Next up is a ceremony held at Heathcote Reserve in Applecross. This is a very popular location for ceremonies. But I do have to warn you about the problems with wind that occur occasionally. Luckily on this day the wind was down and the sun was shining.

Our next ceremony was held at Pier 21in Fremantle. In these photo's it almost looks like a tropical getaway thanks to the palm trees.

And for our final location we have the Red Herring Restaurant in East Fremantle. This one is actually of two separate functions. The first, the silver and pink. The second only 1 photo of the light box and ottomans. I wanted to put in a photo of the light box as it shows something a little different, and I think its really effective.

When the scenery does all the hard work for you

Well its been far too long since we've updated our blog. This past few weeks have been incredibly busy. Over the next few days however I will be uploading some photo's from these busy weeks, with a huge variety of different venues and styles to have a look at.

Today I have some photo's that showcase our beautiful coastline. The colours on display are truly beautiful. Only nature could deliver these. The ceremony was held at Harvey Fields in Cottesloe, and the reception at Indiana Tea House, also in Cottesloe.

Spring - Outdoor Ceremonies

This spring we've had heaps of outdoor ceremonies, taking advantage of the beautiful Perth weather. Last weekend we had several outdoor ceremonies, as well as an outdoor reception in South Perth.

Here are some photos of the outdoor ceremonies. The first was held in the Sunken Gardens at UWA, with the reception following at Pagoda, Broadwater.

The second outdoor ceremony we're displaying was held at Harold Boa Gardens in West Perth. If you're interested in using Harold Boas Garden's please contact the City of Perth for more details.

Apologies for the dark photography - I left my camera back at the showroom, and resorted to using my mobile.

The hectic wedding season

We've been flat out this last fortnight, had 8 weddings last weekend, as well as some private parties to set up. Everything ended up working out beautifully, and our team showed its strength. I cannot thank all my employees enough, you are very much appreciated.

Here's some photo's from a ceremony we set up at Hyde Park, North Perth. I've got more photo's to come, just have to get 5 minutes to myself to sit down and load them onto the computer.

We also received this lovely email from a couple who was wed on the weekend. It's also nice to get positive feed back.

To Michael and all others concerned.

We send our thanks to all of you for all your efforts in presenting Bell's Function Centre  into an absolutely perfect location.

Positive comments were received from all who attended, and no doubt your efforts contributed to making the reception one which will be remembered by all of us.

Once again, congratulations on a job well done and appreciation from us.

More photo's to come shortly. Enjoy your weekend!

DIY Lighting Ideas

I've been searching for new lighting ideas for events. There are literally endless possibilities - these two are so easy to make at home. Lighting is essential to add atmosphere to a wedding/party...the feel it creates is priceless. And lets face it, no one really wants to be seen in full light, a softer light is nice and flattering :)

First up these Shell candles from Martha Stewart are a great idea. So many beachy weddings - and this is easy for you to put together yourself.

There's also Hanging jar lanterns that are easy to put together yourself from old jars you find around the place.

All you need is:
-assorted jars (with a lip)
- fine gage metal wire
- Wire cutters
- And long burning candles, or fake battery operated candles for the Australian summer.
- Its also an idea to put pebbles in the bottom of your jars to secure the candles.

Pretty, with a dash of pink

Here's just a few photo's from the weekend. Been super busy! Will endeavor to get some more DIY tips up in the next week. In the meantime have a look at this lovely wedding, and the simple touch of pink that made it stand out.

Centre piece: Simple, Elegant, Pink!

The Bridal table...a work in progress.

Stay tuned for more DIY and as well as more photo's from the weekend coming. This is our big one...8 weddings on Saturday! Lots of hard work ahead, but also lots of fun. Hopefully we get some great shots of the setups, and we can share our ideas with you.

Transforming a venue

This past few weekends we've been extremely busy, unfortunately I've neglected uploading stuff onto our blog. Firstly I'd like to update with a beautiful event from the weekend, at the Serbian Club in Maddington.

This was a large wedding, and everything pulled together nicely. Thank you to my staff for all the hard work they put in.

Let your creative juices flow!

Learn how to have a stress free, smooth, and beautiful day.

More details coming soon...if you want to know more please email us and register your interest.

Places will be limited, as they are designed to be one on one sessions with our events coordinator's and stylist's, yourself, your partner and helpers (mums & bridesmaids etc)

High Tea Party

This weekend we had a DIY event for a surprise 18th Birthday Party.

The theme was a High Tea.

The birthday girl's mum came into our showroom looking to hire equipment to put the party together herself with help from her family.

By doing the event DIY she was able to save a lot of money, while putting her own personal touch on the day. Here's some photo's she emailed through to us, its amazing what you can create...the possibilities are endless!

If you're interested in making your next party that little extra special drop by our showroom, we can discuss your vision with you, and help make it a reality.

Waters Edge Winery

Last Saturday we had a set up at Waters Edge Winery in the South Guildford
